LARC (Long-Acting Reversible Contraception)

INTRAUTERINE DEVICE or IUD
There are a few IUDs that contain levonorgestrel. The original one is called Mirena, but this IUD was remade into a smaller, narrower version for the woman who has never been pregnant or who has never delivered a baby. This newer IUD is called Skyla. Kyleena is another option very similar to the Mirena.

The hormone-free IUD or copper IUD is call ParaGard. We offer many options in our clinic. To determine which one may be right for you, you will need to schedule an appointment and discuss it with one of our providers.
